about nurse numbers

Hi, Iā€™m Lynn!

I rarely talked about it, but I began investing at the age of 12.

Wow, there is more to this story that I will be adding over time.

In August of 2018 (at age 39), I was working full-time as a nurse and I let my wonderful employer of nearly 14 years know that I would be leaving my perfectly great job to take months (or years) off in order to have more flexibility, time for travel, as well as time with family and friends.

We were pretty young for chef and nurse retirees, so were featured in the Wall Street Journal in October.  Article can be found here:  https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-to-thrive-in-early-retirement-1539271042

My last day of customary employment was on January 12, 2019, since our investments and passive income cover our basic living expenses (theoretically for the rest of our lives).  At that point "work" becomes optional!

Before I left work in January, I had a list of over 60 people who wanted to know more about personal finance, now that list has grown and continues to grow weekly.  One thing I quickly realized is that I have a VERY active brain.  I need challenge and actually thrive in challenge, and love to share what I have learned.  I am EXTREMELY passionate about how understanding what we value can help free us, creating lives that we love!

Now that I have the space and time, I can curate a website doing what I love while adding value to lives of those around me.

Free content:  I have links and content to help people get their financial lives in order to help live out their dreams and quality of life.  I have spent thousands of hours reading and researching over the past nearly 3 decades and have curated this to the best content, free for those who would like to explore.

Individual Coaching: I have a financial coaching service where I help nurses align their money and their life with their values. If you are interested in learning more, please connect with me to set up a 30 minute Discovery Session
